What You Need to Know
The consultation for my tattoo free of charge?
Yes, at Trigger tattoo the individual tattoo consultation is free of charge. You can simply make an appointment for a consultation with your chosen artist.
During the consultation, we will discuss in detail which tattoo you would like, where it should be placed on your body, the size of the motif and an initial estimate of the duration and cost of the tattoo treatment. If you already have templates, please bring them with you.
Would you like to find out more about the process of creating your new tattoo?
How much should I drink before I get a tattoo?
It is advisable to drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your tattoo appointment. A rule of thumb is to drink at least 2-3 liters of water per day to ensure your body is well hydrated. Avoid alcoholic or caffeinated drinks on the day of your appointment as these can have a dehydrating effect.
What are the prices for tattoos?
The minimum price of a tattoo is 2000 THB . Tattoos that can be completed in a single session are charged at a flat rate by your member artist.
The hourly rate for larger works is between 3000 THB and 4000 THB per hour. Important: The preparation of your tattoo as well as the drawing of freehand tattoos are part of the workload.
We try to answer price inquiries by telephone or e-mail as specifically as possible. However, an exact price can only be given after a free, personal consultation

Why do I need a consultation for a tattoo?
Getting a tattoo is not an everyday thing and therefore requires careful planning and preparation.
During the consultation, we will discuss exactly what kind of tattoo you would like. On which part of the body, the size of the tattoo motif and an initial estimate of the duration and price of the treatment. If you already have templates, please bring them with you.
Where can I find price and cost info?
The minimum price for tattoos plays a crucial role in ensuring high standards of safety and quality in the tattoo studio. This price covers several basic costs that are essential for safe and hygienic tattooing:
Material costs: The use of high-quality paints, needles and other necessary materials is crucial to ensure an excellent result and safe application.
Disinfection and hygiene: A sterile working environment and disinfectants are necessary to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and minimize the risk of infection.
Preparation of the tattoo design: The time and effort that the tattoo artist invests in creating and customizing the design and the stencil are also included in the minimum price.
If you are considering a tattoo and would like to find out more about our tattoo prices, we recommend that you arrange a free consultation with your Trigger tattoos Member Artist. During the consultation you can discuss your ideas and get a clear idea of the tattoo costs.
You also have the opportunity to ask questions about various factors that influence the price, such as the size, design and placement of the tattoo. This will give you a transparent and detailed cost overview that will help you make an informed decision.
How do I make an appointment for a tattoo?
Your tattoo appointment will be arranged on site and requires an advance payment (between 1000 THB to 5000 THB depend size) if no deposit has been paid for a drawing. This will of course be deducted from the final invoice.
If you are unable to keep the appointment, you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance. In the event of no-show or late cancellation, the advance payment made will not be credited.
Appointments for minimal tattoos can also be arranged by telephone without advance payment.
At what age can I get a tattoo?
You usually have to be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo.
However, if you have reached the age of 14 and absolutely want a tattoo, this is possible with the consent of a legal guardian.
For legal reasons, at least one person with parental authority must attend the appointment with your member artist together with you. This person must be able to identify themselves on site and then sign a written declaration of consent.
Do tattoos over stretch marks hurt more?
The sensation of pain can vary from person to person, but tattoos over stretch marks can be slightly more painful. Stretch marks are often thinner and more sensitive areas of skin, which can lead to an increased sensation of pain. As the skin in these areas is already stretched and possibly scarred, tattooing can be a slightly more intense experience.
Can you tattoo over moles or birthmarks?
It is generally not recommended to tattoo over moles or birthmarks. These areas of skin are sensitive and should be monitored regularly as changes may indicate skin cancer. Tattoo ink can obscure the view of these areas and make it difficult to detect changes at an early stage. Therefore, a border should always be left free around moles or birthmarks.
If you have a lot of moles or birthmarks at the desired tattoo site and this could affect the recognizability of your tattoo, it is advisable to choose a different location for the tattoo.
Can I get a tattoo or piercing if I am HIV-positive?
An HIV infection does not fundamentally rule out a tattoo and/or piercing. However, if the number of helper cells is low, the immune system is weakened. There is an increased risk of skin infection and wound healing may be impaired. Especially if the wound area is very large, it can result in poor healing. It is important to ask your doctor for his opinion.
If you are HIV-positive and would like to have a tattoo and/or piercing, please inform us before the treatment in the declaration of consent. The Trigger tattoo member artists are free to decide for or against a treatment and are not subject to any treatment obligation.
